Yesterday I found myself rolling home a package of balls metal that I do not know where they have gone, but as soon as I saw it, I knew what I wanted to do with them…a collar of marbles. And said and done! This has been the process:
- An old t-shirt
- 16 balls
- A plastic drinking straw (the drinking soda), cut into small pieces.
- Scissors, needle and thread.
I have chosen this t-shirt because of the colors and also because the fabric is elastic and that makes it work.
It is cut on the bias a strip of 3 cm width.
Is bent on itself at the center and is sewn all along to get a tube.
Close the end with a stitch.
With the help of a needle-point turns around the tube.
Below you are going by alternating marbles, which are put into the inside of the pipe and the pieces of the straw, which go by the outside, until you complete the length of the collar.
Sew together the two ends.
I used the straps of the t-shirt to complete the collar, which is closed with a lacing in the side.
